Automated Selection and Combination of Environment Models

Abstract

A novel environmental data fusion capability was developed which aggregates disparate forecast data into understandable information services available to end users, decision aids, and machine learning analytics via standards based GIS services. This work is designed to efficiently serve large scale data from many data storage methods and data types through many standardized services. This research has since been transitioned into the NRL METOC Server and used within ONR projects and transitioned to USW-DSS. In this memorandum we will explore the metocserver, the backend data library known as Grid model, and forward facing services such as the Web Coverage Service and the Rest adaptor.
