Bright Entangled Light Sources for Aerospace Applications

Abstract

A high brightness high quality entangled photon source which can be used to perform satellite to earth quantum communication has been developed using a liner design. A compact ruggedized version of the source is built for its application in field deployment. A measurement system to monitor the sky brightness is developed and it is used for the survey of potential ground stations for satellite to earth quantum communication.
