Medical-Biological Aspects of Scientific-Technical Prognostication,

Abstract

The aim of prognostication of medical science and practice is the determination of more effective ways for developing one or another scientific and practical branch of medicine, the determination of scales and the importance of changes in them taking into consideration the growth of the population and the demands of society. Prognostication should determine terms for the solution of great complex problems, the amount of material and labor outlay required, and the possibilities of the practical utilization of the results of creative research. Three aspects of prognostication in biology and medicine should be examined: Prognostication of the development of biological and medical science and its trends; social demographic prognostication, including prognostication of the disease rate and planning of prophylactic measures; individual prognostication of health conditions.
