New Developments in the Study of Infectious Pathology of Animals,

Abstract

Plans have been made to rid the farms of brucellosis and tuberculosis in the next 3-5 years, improve the veterinary-sanitary culture on the cattle-breeding farms of kolkhozs and sovkhozs, reduce the losses due to diseases of animals and barrenness of the breeding stock, and produce husbandry products of high sanitary quality. Scientists will study the biology and mutation of microbes, viruses, protozoan and fungic causative agents of animal diseases, study their antigenic structure, improve the methods of diagnostics, prophylaxis and therapy, find rapid methods for detecting causative agents in the environment, develop questions of general epizootiology, immunogenesis and the factors which affect the immunologic reactivity of animals.
