Special Features of Catalysis on Magnesium Oxide and Oxide-Dielectrics Which Are Close to It,

Abstract

A study of acid-base heterogeneous catalysis made it possible to reveal a series of the general regularities inherent in homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions. The author's studied the catalytic properties of solid bases, in particular, those of the oxides of calcium, magnesium, barium, strontium, etc. These oxides accelerate the reactions of aldol condensation, polymerization of the oxides of olefins, isomerization of the oxides of olefins, isomerization of olefins, dehydrohalogenation, which are accelerated by bases also under homogeneous conditions.
