Induction Magnetohydrodynamic Machines with a Liquid Metal Working Body,

Abstract

Several types of induction magnetohydrodynamic machines which work with liquid metal as the moving mass are discussed. Information presented deals both with theoretical calculations, using machines with infinite parameters and dimensions, and with practical ones, outlining what can be expected and methods of compensation. The work deals with the different characteristics of electromagnetic fields developed by different types of windings and inductors, and presents mathematical relationships describing them.
