Temperature Fields from Heat Sources Moving Along Arbitrary Continuous Contours,

Abstract

The author uses the method of sources to derive expressions for the temperature field of an infinite three-dimensional solid when the curvilinear trajectory of the sources can be described by parametric equations, using the length of arc s as the parameter. The method can also be applied to two- and one-dimensional heat conductivity problems.
