On the Reflection of Electromagnetic Waves with Oblique Incidence on a Moving Ionization Front,

Abstract

The article examines the oblique incidence in monochromatic TE- and TM-waves onto a sharp boundary of the plasma formed by the source of ionization moving at a constant velocity. Equations for the coefficients of reflection and passage are obtained and investigated. A feature of the case of TM-waves is the excitation in the plasma behind the front of longitudinal oscillations at any frequency of the incident transverse wave.
