Cold Cathode Electron Beam Controlled CO2 Laser Performance.

Abstract

A cold cathode electron beam controlled CO2 laser has been constructed. The laser has produced up to 50 joules of output energy and peak powers as high as 1 GW. Various laser system parameters which control the laser output have been investigated. The laser performance has been compared with theoretical studies. (Author)
