Infrared Mixing Techniques.

Abstract

Research was conducted in the areas of high resolution spectroscopy, microwave image upconversion, and infrared sources. The high resolution microwave/infrared spectrometer developed under this effort has been used to obtain a number of spectra of different molecules. Work on upconversion of microwave images using a 1.06 micron Nd:YAG laser pump was begun with an experiment to perform point upconversion. For this purpose a study of nonlinear materials transparent at both millimeter wavelength and at 1.06 microns was conducted. Stark modulation is discussed. High resolution microwave spectroscopy of CH3Br is described. (Modified author abstract)
