Initial Feasibility Study Employing Holographic Vibrational Analysis to Locate Nonbonds in Thick Ceramic to Fiberglass Composite.

Abstract

This report describes a new nondestructive testing technique by which vibrational analysis and holography complement each other to yield information and results not obtainable by other means. Nonbonds in a composite structure of ceramic and fiberglass, undetectable by other methods employing acoustics, have been made clearly visible by the holographic vibrational analysis described.
