On the Procedure for Determining Allergenic Properties of Chemical Substances,

Abstract

A single exposure of the skin of the ear to 0.02 mz of all six tested allergens sensitized guinea pigs in 11-12 days. The comparison of allergenic activity of chemical substances can be conducted through the concentration of their dilution in the sensitizing injection. Since the proposed method is based on the introduction of large dilutions of tested substances, it is applicable to the study of products of poor solubility; the quantity of the introduced allergens, insignificant by weight prevents the development of intoxication which weakens the manifestation of the allergy.
