The Effect of Nozzle Contraction on the Damping of Turbulent Pulsations,

Abstract

The report deals with the effect of contraction on turbulent pulsations of velocity which has great practical value in designing wind tunnels. Nozzles with a large contraction ratio, which ensures low velocity in the larger part of the wind tunnel circuit, make it possible to use thin wire networks to damp the turbulence without high losses of the honeycomb.
