Toward a Theory on the Combustion of Fuel Droplets in a Stationary Medium and in a Flow of Oxidizer,

Abstract

The authors examine a spherical fuel drop which burns in an unlimited gas medium - a mixture of an oxidizer and an inert component. The combustion process is quasi-stationary. The bimolecular chemical reaction between the fuel and the oxidizer occurs in the gas phase.
