Mechanism of the Ignition Process of Natural Solid Fuels,

Abstract

The ignition process of natural solid fuels, other conditions remaining equal, is determined by the amount, quality, and intensity of the products released by the thermal expansion of their organic mass ('volatiles'). In the example studied the composition of the volatiles was determined from data on quasi-static yield as a function of temperature.
