The Conduction Band Structure of GaAs-AlAs Alloys,

Abstract

On the basis of an absorption-spectra analysis, the conduction band in GaAs-AlAs alloys has been found to have a complex structure. The energy separation between the central conduction band minimum and the higher conduction valley is assumed to be 0.22 eV for alloys with a small mole fraction of AlAs.
