Problems of Friction and Wear No. 2: Republic Interdepartmental Scientific-Technical Collection.

Abstract

The collection describes research into friction and wear, and practical use of these findings. Current problems are elucidated in the theory of friction and wear, modern techniques of investigating phenomena taking place in the surface layers of contacting solids during friction, certain questions of lubrication and lubricative action, increased wear-resistance through the use of various metal and nonmetal materials, and technological methods for increasing wear-resistance.
