Neighboring Peroxide Group Reactions and Small Ring Peroxides.

Abstract

The report briefly describes research directed primarily to the following areas: (1) neighboring peroxide group reactions where 1,2-dioxetanes (four-ring peroxides) were formed in most instances; (2) the mechanism of thermal decomposition of and excited state carbonyl production from 1,2-dioxetanes; (3) peroxide fragmentation reactions.
