Photographic Developer,

Abstract

A developer for photographic materials is based on paraformaldehyde and hydroquinone. To increase the contrast of photographic images, P-containing polyalkylene glycols of the formula HO(CH2CH2O)n- (P(O)(OR)O(CH2CH2O)n) where R is alkyl or aryl, n is a whole even number, and x is a whole odd number, are added to the developer.
