Formation of the Spectrum of Sizes of Aerosol Particles in the Surface Layer of the Atmosphere,
Abstract
A study of the spectrum of sizes of aerosol particles in the surface layer of the atmosphere which was carried out recently in the Soviet Union. It was found that in areas where the air is clear and there is high relative humidity, there is a multimodal distribution of particles by size. The fact that there is no ammonia sulfate in large particles causes fractions of aerosol of different origin not to blend with each other to any degree.
