Fracture Microappearance and Fracture Toughness of Tempered Steels,

Abstract

This article discusses the results of comprehensive microanalysis of fractures which form during propagation of cracks in hardened steels with different contents of carbon at varying temperatures for tempering and testing. Brands 20Kh and 50KhN steels were used for tests. The temperature range was 100 to 650C.
