The Generator of the Future,

Abstract

The basic principles and present operational parameters of Soviet magneto-gas dynamic generators are simply described. The characteristics of MHD generators are contrasted with those of conventional steam turbine plants. An optimistic view of the future of MHD generator is expressed despite the technical difficulties discussed in the article.
