Determination of Nonrated Joint Operating Conditions of a Turbocompressor and an Automotive Diesel with Cooling of Supercharging Air,

Abstract

Increase in supercharging pressures and the use of pressurized air cooling in motor vehicle engines with turbosupercharging requires closer matching of the engine and turbocompressor characteristics in rated and nonrated modes of operation. A system of six equations permits finding the desired turbocompressor parameters during operation of the engine in rated modes.
