Technical Implementation of Interactive Programming.

Abstract

This report describes the technical requirements in creating and tuning a time sharing system to support an interactive programming capability. Additionally, a description of the programmer training required to use the system is provided. This effort was performed as part of the USACSC Interactive Programming R and D project. Although the work was based around the USACSC programming environment, the technical procedures for planning, implementing and monitoring the system performance, as well as the training courses outlined, are applicable to any installation developing a time sharing system.
