Legal Mix: A Fortran Model for Evaluating Artillery Systems

Abstract

A FORTRAN version of the 'Legal Mix' Artillery Simulation Model has been developed at the U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (AMSAA). The model is similar to versions that were originally used for conduct of both 'Legal Mix III' and 'IV' studies. The model is designed to measure the relative performance of a series of 'division-slice' families of artillery weapons by simulating the basic demands placed on an artillery force during the typical day of combat. This report furnishes documentation of the model to include basic model description, model flow charts, and listing of sample input and output data.
