The Calibration of Six Probes for Sensing Three-Dimensional Fluid Flow properties.

Abstract

Results are presented of a test program to calibrate six probes which record the three-dimensional properties of a fluid flow. The design characteristics of both the probes and the calibration device, as well as the analytical techniques employed, have been presented. Also included, to validate the accuracy of the calibration data, are the results of a wake survey conducted in the propeller plane of a surface ship model.
