Approximating the Optimal Regularization Parameter.
Abstract
Let the solution to the first type integral equation Kf = g be approximated by (f sub alpha) = (K*K + alpha I) sup (-1))K*g for alpha >0. This paper presents a method for approximating the value of alpha giving the best approximation, (f sub alpha). An example is given.
