Some Remarks on the Convergence of Cardinal Splines.

Abstract

The author seeks conditions for the (uniform) convergence of the nth degree spline functions with knots at the integers. Two results are given, the first being a sufficient condition, and the second a counterexample to an unpublished conjecture of I. J. Schoenberg.
