Production Engineering Measure for High Range Geiger Mueller Tube.
Abstract
This program is an investigation of the proper techniques employed to provide stable, predictable performance G-M tubes for use as the high range detector of the AN/VDR-1. The third set of engineering test samples was fabricated and pumped during the fourth reporting period. Tests were begun to determine if all the parameters of the specification can be met. A study of different pumping techniques and systems was conducted to determine the best possible system to be used.
