Problems of Thermodynamic Equilibrium of Outflowing Combustion Products,

Abstract

The goals of the present study were to measure translatory temperature, identify the radiation spectrum of a stream of combustion products from condensed systems behind the edge of the nozzle in a model engine, and establish the equilibrium condition of the system, provided it exists. The radiation spectrum of combustion products flowing from a model jet engine nozzle was studied for ballistiteH powder and a composition of H+5% aluminum for two engine operating modes: incomplete (20-30 at) and complete (80-90 at).
