On Determining Cost Effectiveness of an Army Automatic Meteorological System.

Abstract

Possible criteria for a cost effectiveness model for the Army Automatic Meteorological System are discussed. A determiniation of the nature of the problems expected to be encountered in satisfying these criteria appears similar to that in the construction of a stochastic model, where a careful balance between fidelity and tractability is essential. Barrier problems stemming from inadequacies in the interrelationship of weather and computer-played combat simulation models are also considered.
