Primary Irritation Evaluation Program Study.
Abstract
AI3-18274 (Morpholine, 4-caprylyl), AI3-18285 (Morpholine, 4-capryl), AI3-35668-aGb (Morpholine, 4-hexanoyl), AI3-35669-aGa (Morpholine, 4-heptanoyl), AI3-36171 (1H-Azepine, hexahydro-1-(3-methyl-2-oxo-1-propenyl), AI3-36175-Ga (Piperidine, 2-ethyl-1-(3-methyl-1-oxo-2-propenyl)) and AI3-36243-Ga (Hexanamide, N-N-bis(2-methylpropyl)) which are insect repellents were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin and eye irritation. The data obtained serve as a basis for a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds.
