Northeast Pacific Environmental Scenario.

Abstract

The environmental study covers the area 35-45 degrees N and 140-160 degrees W as well as Ocean Weather Stations (OWS's) P and N. The study area has been divided into four sub-areas. The OSW's are included because their nearly complete chronological data set is the only marine data in the vicinity which permits persistence (duration) studies in a detailed manner. Though the OWS's are quite remote from the study area, inter-comparison of individual elements that are available for all areas (in Part A - Probability Graphs) will aid in estimation of persistence values in the study area by use of those given for the OWS's (in Part B - Persistence Graphs).
