VLBI Observations of OH/IR Stars,
Abstract
Very long baseline interferometric observations of 5 type II OH/IR objects indicate that the apparent size of the masering regions are about or greater than 0.1 seconds of arc. The present observations, combined with current theories, indicate that the 1612 MHz OH maser associated with Mira variables originates in the outer regions of the circumstellar dust.
