Evaluation of a Dual Axis Holographic Lens.
Abstract
A two-axis single holographic lens element is evaluated as to its quality in the areas of: diffraction efficiency, resolving power, Hartmann graphs, spherical aberration, coma, astigmatism, field curvature, distortion, chromatic aberration, and angle of diffracted light. The holographic element is shown to be satisfactory for a virtual image display in all areas except chromatic aberration.
