Use of Symbolic Manipulation Techniques to Examine Gravitational and Unified Field Theories.
Abstract
There are three main objectives in the contract which are currently being investigated; They are: (1) To carry out the third order expansion of the functional metric and study the relation between radiation and the motion of the sources; (2) To investigate the issue of the existance of gravitational radiation in Einstein's theory and the new theory and access the possibility of using gravitational radiation as a possible means of transmitting information; and, (3) To extend the capabilities of the MACSYMA system by introducing new tensor manipulation packages as well as new programs for the study of gravitational theories.
