Rotating Engine Design and Cycle Analysis Program,

Abstract

This report describes a computer program titled 'Rotating Engine Design and Cycle Analysis Program'. The program is capable of analyzing turbojets, two spool turbofans (both front and aft fans), turboprops, turboprops, turboshafts, and subsonic burning ramjets. This program was developed with emphasis on high speed computation for cycle analysis and for propulsion/flight control sensor analysis. It is capable of computation time in the order of a few milliseconds per cycle case. The report includes a description of the program's capabilities and limitations, special features, complete listing, sample input data, and corresponding sample output data.
