Research Study on Dynamics of the Solar Atmosphere.

Abstract

This report summarizes studies carried out in magnetohydrodynamics and a new form of gravitational force. It describes coronal studies at two eclipses, reviews an attempt to verify (with negative results) a finding by Gnevyshev that the sunspot cycle on the average has a double maximum, and covers research in the general area of solar-terrestrial relations. Relationships between the intensity of the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) emission-line corona, the level of geomagnetic activity, and the velocity of the solar wind are discussed.
