Pressure-Compensating Systems for Underwater Gas-Filled Electroacoustic Transducers

Abstract

Two types of systems were developed to equalize the pressure on opposite sides of the diaphragm in low-frequency moving-coil electroacoustic transducers at depths of several hundred meters. The configuration, operation, and design theory of these systems are described.
