Multi-Level Management Scales: I - The Rationale.

Abstract

The research effort is aimed at the psychometric exploration of the domain of managerial leadership behaviors. The approach is contrasted with the work done by those exploring the dynamics of managerial behavior who have, indeed, developed scales to measure aspects of leadership. However, these workers have not attempted a systematic exploration of the broad field. This report discusses the background, the objectives of the effort, the rationale, and the research plans.
