Processing and Properties of 13Ni (400) Maraging Steel by Powder Metallurgy.

Abstract

The 13Ni (400) grade of maraging steel was prepared by powder metallurgy. It is shown that the material which is direct aged from the extruded state exhibits enhanced ductility over re-solutionized and aged material and over wrought material similarly treated. This is achieved with no loss in strength.
