How the USSR Hopes to Control the Middle East.

Abstract

The essay discusses the goals of the USSR in the Middle East and shows that most of these goals have historically been goals of Russia during the days of the Czars. The paper gives a discussion of why the Soviets consider the Middle East an area of major importance and how she is exploiting the Arab animosity for Israel in reaching her goals. The effects of atheism are considered in the light of how it will bear upon the attainment of these goals, and the prospects of Soviet success are considered.
