Primary Irritation Evaluation Program Study.
Abstract
1-Decanoyl-4-methylpiperazine (AI3-36250-Ga), 4-(6-Methyl-3-cyclohexenecarbonyl) morpholine (AI3-36258-Ga), 4-(2-Methylcyclohexanecarbonyl)morpholine (AI3-36260), and 1-Decanoyl-1,3,4,6-tetrahydropyridine (AI3-36307-Ga), which are insect repellents were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin irritation. The data obtained serve as a basis for making a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds.
