A Broadband Quadruple-Ridged Waveguide Radiator

Abstract

The report presents the results of an investigation in the design of a broadband quadruple-ridged waveguide radiator. It covers the theoretical and practical aspects in the design of the ridged waveguide parameters, the design of the ridges in the flared section, and the design of the coaxial to ridged waveguide transformer. The result of the investigation is a - 2 12 GHz bandwidth, dual-polarization, quadruple-ridged horn which is an advancement in the state-of-the-art.
