Thermionic Conversion.

Abstract

The role of thermionic reactors is discussed. 'Topaz' type prototypes have been tested in the Soviet Union with quite satisfactory results. It is hoped that, in the next few years, they will be used in spacecraft and save millions of dollars in the space program.
