Field Study on Air Basin Pollution of Industrial Cities,
Abstract
Operational principles for investigating pollution in urban air basins are discussed. A typical long-term study of such pollution for two cities is presented and includes an analysis of the yearly variation of such contaminants as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, phenol, together with discussions of the effects of meteorological conditions on pollution. A short-term study of the pollution of one city in the Ukraine is also presented.
