Real Time Holographic Recording Materials.

Abstract

A number of high-quality, dry-working recording materials were evaluated to determine their suitability for holographic data storage and optical data processing applications. Sensitometric, holographic, and systems data were generated. With the RADC-sponsored HRMR system a frame of reference, several film/systems studies were completed that have an important practical impact. In particular, the feasibility of making high-quality fiche replications using straightforward contact copying techniques was demonstrated. The overall conclusion of the study was that some dry-working recording materials could become systems qualified in the near-term.
