Minuteman Stage I Motor Reliability Improvement Program Surveillance.

Abstract

This report contains data and test results from the Minuteman Stage I Reliability Program (RIP) Surveillance. Thiokol (see TWR-7300) tested and reported this program for eight years and on 1 July 1973, the responsibility was turned over to this laboratory. This report covers first time resting and reporting of RIP data by this laboratory. The data is compared with Thiokol data and is presented in the same format as in Thiokol's final report. The results are plotted on Thiokol's format which includes Thiokol's data. In the future, the data will be programmed into the G085 computer system and a statistical approach recommended by the statistical group will be used to present the data. The purpose of testing is to provide early warning of any serious degradation trends occurring in the component service life predictions.
