Unified System of Electronic Computers.

Abstract

The Unified Electronic Computer System (UECS) is a complex of third generation computers, designed to solve a wide assortment of scientific-technical, economic, and control problems. The modular structure and design of the UECS, as well as an elaborate system for the standardized coupling of the central unit and peripheral devices, permits the user to select the configuration of the actual machine in exact accordance with the requirements of the problems solved and with allowance for system development in the future. New peripheral devices may easily be added to the existing system or the replacement of the processor with a more powerful one carried out.
