Allergen Fractions of Bacteria of the Intestinal Family,

Abstract

The extracellular fraction obtained by the Ando - Verzhikovskiy method from the bacterial species Enterobacteria cloacae possessed the activity of an allergen. The Ando - Verzhikovskiy fraction was characterized by a complex antigenic spectrum. In a preparation 13-15 antigenic components were revealed immunoelectrophoretically. Allergens from different strains of Enterobacteria cloacae had a close antigenic structure and caused cross allergic reactions in experiments on sensitized animals.
